I went to the Footesite Dam today , wonderfull traviling weather , 1" to 4" of snow predicted by the weatherman with a high of 26 degrees .
Presintation was bottombouncing wax worms , started with a 10" dropline with a 3' leader and a #20 hook , near the end of the 6 hours fishing the drop line was to 3" , everything else remained the same .
Nothing happining today , one strike but not crome , felt more like a walleye than anything else . The fight lasted about 2 minutes before it was off the hook .
There were two other fishermen , one a little further down near the handicaped ramp dropping spawn, one at the meat hole flicking flys . Neither fisherman stayed very long . Between the flock of Mallerd ducks and myself the river was just about all ours .
I did see one drift boat being launched at the whirlpool , I fished above that without any sucess .
Beautifull day though , overcast and plenty of the big chunkey snow falling all day long .
