Chesterfield

Hey ya'll..

I stumbled on this website searching the net and thought it'd be helpful to talk to some other fisherman from the area. Been ice fishing quite a bit this winter so far and enjoyed reading some of your posts. Thought I'd post a report about Chesterfield from this weekend. Tons of people out there during the day but I managed to be the second guy on the ice at sunrise. Stayed until the middle afternoon and was able to ice 12-15 fish and lose at least 20. Not as big as some of the fish I had caught earlier this season, but a few in the 17-19 range. Did well in about 7-8 feet of water within a foot off the bottom mostly with black maribou jigs tipped with a little night crawler or meal worm. Talked to a few other people and it sounded like most people had a slow day on the ice, so I'm not sure what I was doing that was different. Had some fun sight fishing inside my shelter as the water was clear enough to see to the bottom at that depth. Anyone fished Daniels lately? I had some success on several trips earlier but haven't been back in a month or so.
