2007 License Information
#1
This is a reminder that the NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife (DFW) now issues licenses via the new Integrated Electronic Licensing System (IELS) only - there are no longer paper licenses. The system is now in place at almost all license agents.

In addition to license agents, licenses will be available at the outdoor shows the DFW participates in (Edison, Parsippany and Suffern, NY). By having a Conservation ID Number (CID#) and completing the Child Support Certification for 2007 before going to a show you'll make your purchase faster, more convenient and safer than it has ever been before.

If you haven't yet established a customer record and received a lifetime CID# you can speed your license purchase at an agent or show by doing so at http://www.wildlifelicense.com/nj/ . This also allows you to enter your information from the privacy of your own home. If you already have a CID# you will need to update your customer profile with Child Support Certification for 2007.

Unfortunately we were unable to transfer records of past license purchases into the new database. Therefore, licences requiring proof of a previous year's license or hunter education will initially need to be purchased from an agent who can confirm your eligibility and enter the information into your customer record. Once your record includes this information you will be able to purchase your licenses from home if you choose to (a small convenience fee will be added to cover mailing costs). There is no additional fee when purchasing licenses from an agent, and the license is issued immediately.

Some licenses and permits (such as Freshwater Fishing and Horseback Riding) can be purchased and printed from your home computer immediately. However, by purchasing them at an agent they will be printed on waterproof, durable paper stock (at no additional cost). Having your Child Support Certification completed at home before going to the agent will speed the purchase and protect your privacy.
