Identify the species and win #3
#1
[black]I will mail a half a dozen of my favorite ice flies/ice fishing jigs to the first person that identifies the fish in the pictures below.

All of the species in the pictures below are found in Idaho.

The rules are:
#1 You need a registered user name to win.

#2 All species in the pictures need to be identified in a single post before the end of December.

#3 Before you post your answer you must have made at least one other post on BFT Idaho within the last year under your registered username. It doesn't matter if the post was made only 5 minutes before you post your answer.

#4 If you don't identify all the species correctly the first try you can try again but you may only make one post per day.

#5 You don't have to name the exact strain of fish but you can't post a general answer like "trout" or "bass". An answer like "rainbow trout" or "cutthroat trout" will be sufficient. If you guess that a species is "Yellowstone cutthroat" and it is a "Bear Lake cutthroat" I will still count your answer correct because it is a cutthroat trout.

[black]#6 If you won "Identify the species and win #1 or #2" you can still post your guess but will not win more ice flies. The first person to post the correct species that has not already won will get the ice flies/jigs.[/black]

[black]I made a mistake.[/black]
[black]I didn't notice the edit that catchandrelease made to his post.[/black]
[black]He has them correct. Bigcat also has them correct on his first post but had already won some ice flies/jigs. Check rule #6[/black]
[black][/black]
[black]Here's some information on the fish. This is just what I identified them as. There is a chance that I'm not 100% correct.[/black]

[black]#1 Brown Trout – Portneuf River (Wild Brown)[/black]
[black]#2 Rainbow – Chesterfield (I belive it is a “Hayspur Rainbow Triploid”, there are also “Troutlodge Kamaloops Tiploids” in Chesterfield but the grayish color and spot pattern is typical of a hayspur rainbow) [/black]
[black]#3 Yellow Perch – Could have been from Winder, Condie, Glendale or Weston. I don’t remember which.[/black]
[black]#4 Largemouth Bass – Lamont Reservoir[/black]
[black]#5 Cutthroat/Rainbow hybrid aka cutbow – Henry’s Lake[/black]
[black]#6 Smallmouth Bass – Lake Powell[/black]
[black]#7 Brown Trout – Portneuf River (wild Brown)[/black]
[black]#8 Rainbow Trout – American Falls Reservoir. This may have been a wild rainbow but it looks like a typical troutlodge rainbow. American Falls Reservoir has been planted with surplus steelhead some years so it is possible that it has some or complete steelhead genetics.[/black]

Superslammer,

Welcome back. You had them all correct but I made a mistake and didn't see catchandrelease's edit.
