Chatfield 6-9-06

Took my daughter and a friend to Chatfield this morning and we all had a great time catchin' walleyes and smallmouth. Tubes, cranks, crawler harnesses and leeches all produced. Even managed a couple over the 18" minimum. The roadbeds and shoulders were loaded with fish 12 - 17' deep.

Actually there are several old roadbeds there. The easiest way to find them is to get the Chatfield map by Fish-N-Map Co. It has them marked well. And when you cross over them with your depthfunder you know exactly what they are. They terrain rises up, is perfectly flar for a ways, and then drops off again.
