Belmont Pier Fishing Report 4/16/05

We got to the Belmont Pier in Long Beach around 7:30 pm. The inshore water temp was around 66 degrees and the fish knew it. Nothing was biting the whole time and we were asked to leave around 11:00pm when the pier was closing. [cool]

Nice they asked,

Were you parking in the pay-to-park lot? Do they have a time they will not let you out of the metered lot area? Chain, barrier, etc. It looked like they could easily do that in other lots all along that area!

They have the park and pay system. Fortunately the attendant leaves before most of the cars are out of there.

They close the iron curtain at 11:00 but you can stay and fish from the immediate beach area if you have a license. Most other beaches kick you off the beach by 10pm. They don't open the pier back up until 5:00am.
