I've been looking into some equipment for replacing the eyes on my rods. I have two boys who aren't quite as careful about the rods lying on the deck as I am. So I have some rods with broken eyes. I was just wandering what the cost and the difficulty of replacing them would be. Does it offset the cost of replacing the rods.

if the kids are just beating the rods up, just use a pocket knife to cut off the old eyes, and use foxy poxy to place over the nylon or apolstery threads of the new eyes.
if you are replaceing one here and there it is pretty cheep, if you are replacing all of them, garage sale rods is the best way to go.... dollar here two dollars there.
