May first Davie Jones opens up his locker and releases good will twards youth fishing.
Gander Mountain of Novi opened its doors for the first time this day. the first 150 youths 12 and under who came in to the store received a brand new rod and real combo compleatly free of charge.
Oakland County 4-H conducts its anual Discover Day event. Featureing a multitude of of programs designed to guide youth in to discovering a welth of opertunities of different taists involving different life styles.
Dry casting being one event and Fly tieing being another.
some 60 youths signed up to tie a fishing leader spinner or fly. the main goal of the instructor was to have every youth learn how to tie a polimer knot. each youth learned how to tie and bait a leader to catch the fish of thier choice. Leaders hooks line beads and time all donated by one of our regular Bigfishtackle members.
