Before the rain and the drop in temperatures, bass were being caught on flats, red dirt banks, and points using spinner baits, silver buddies and tube jigs.

Crappie can be found around submerged trees, along bluffs, creeks and springs entering the lake. Fish 3 to 15 feet deep and close to the brush with live minnows, grubs, and flies. Striped bass and Cherokee bass are in the areas of Point 8 on up to Point 26. Most stripers were caught at Point 21 to 24 this past week. Straight-line fishermen are using live shad and Hopkins spoons.
