From Placerville, at junction Hwy's 50-49; take Hwy 49 N, go 11 mi. to Coloma; follow signs to Marshall Gold Discovery Park.
Private land leaves best access from State Park. Low gradient river with riffles; some trees along bank, surrounding grassy hills with oak and pine trees. Watch for poison oak. Whitewater rafting downstream from planted area. Bait & tackle, store, propane, RV sites with hookups, resort. Day-use only. Barrier-free access at State Park.
Local fishing: Stocked Rainbows every other week, April through mid July from gravel plant on Lotus Rd. upstream through State Park.
Camping permitted.
