WATER CONDITIONS
The lake has some debris and the water has remained fairly clear this past week. Lake levels have fluctuated over this past week. Water levels are once again starting to drop. Due to the cold weather the water temperature has remained between 44-48 degrees for the last week.

SUMMARY
Fishing has been good for Bass and Crappie, however, there have been more anglers out over the last week due to the nice weather. Fishing is good in shallow coves with heavy cover (brush) and around rock bluffs and rip rap as well as points with drop offs. Fishing over brush piles in the creeks has been very rewarding at times. Fishing in the main channels has also been rewarding at times. With the cold front moving back into the area fishing should improve. The water temperature has stayed at approximately 44-48 degrees. The fishing should pick back up since the weather has started to cool off once again.

BASS (Largemouth & Smallmouth)
Fair. Fishing in the main channel is picking up, however, shallow coves with plenty of cover should not be over looked . Shad have seemed to move back out into the main channel. Also fishing the points of islands, coves, rock bluffs, and rip rap seem to work as well. During AM hours fish approximately 10-20 feet deep for the PM hours fish 5-15 feet deep, the depth will vary with the area you are fishing. Many anglers are using flukes, shad resembling lures, crank baits, spinner-baits, buzz baits, jigs, and jigs with trailers. White is the primary color of choice following with black, and a blue/black combo.

CRAPPIE
Fair. Fishing has been slow over the past week. The areas to fish are coves with heavy cover (brush). Some of the creeks has been good to anglers at times. The depth to fish is approximately 5-25 feet deep. The AM and PM hours have both been treating anglers well at times. Fishing should improve over the next couple of weeks. The bait of choice seem to primarily be minnows, however, grubs will also work. These fish seem to do better when the wind is not blowing.

WALLEYE/SAUGER
Fair. Fishing has been fairly slow for anglers, however don't be discouraged with temperatures cooling off fishing will constantly improve. The forks of the rivers has been rewarding to several anglers. Jigging with spoons and minnows seem to be the bait of choice for those who are trying.

STRIPED BASS
Fair. I have not had any reports of anglers fishing for Striped Bass.
