Jordanelle kokes turning fast
#1
Hit Jordanelle for kokes slowest trip out of the last 5 , hooked 6 lost 2 . 2 of the 4 were quite colored up and getting humps and hooked jaws. Fished from about 7:45 till 1:15 only action was 8:30 till 11:00 then nothing.
Much more change to them than last week. This is early from my experience and may be a sign that the end of action up there for kokes is near. It had been a grind but some good fishing if you can figure them out. I think I’m done there, may have to hit the Berry now. Last 5 trips at Jordy 35 kokes landed, last week a few showing color today much more color and humps. I think action will continue to taper off fast and I would guess some will enter the river soon? I had a friend who fished strawberry today, he got limits of bright kokes not seeing many with color up there yet. Here are some pics from Jordy 7/22. 7/23 7/30 and today turning fast!!

I found elk rubs in the Uintas last week. Maybe fall is on fast forward. Sure dosent feel like it outside yet.

Nice kokes.
Remember: keep the lid on the worms, share your jerky, and stop by to say hi to Cookie and the Cowboy-Pirate crew

Those are decent

I caught one that was turning red from shore at the Berry a few years ago. We released it, bc I didn't know if it would taste any good. It looked like the ones in the first pictures.
