New to this place. I will be spending a great deal of time here next year. Any "fly" help for this body of water would be a welcome relief.

just depends on what you're chasing... lots of 30#+ carp that take a variety of flies in the spring. I've heard of a few bows taking leach patterns near the dam, spring and fall

I live in the Logan area. Never fished Blackfoot during the ice on. Where would I go to access that place in the winter?

Every winter is different. Early ice you can fish right above the dam . After the snow gets to deep . You will need a snow machine. Where you live Chesterfield would probably be a better choice . You can watch YouTube video on Chesterfield.
