Logan Fly Fishing - ru22dizzle - 05-13-2016 Hey, anyone on here living in logan? Looking for some river condition updates. PM me if you don't want to post specifics on the board. I understand. Just want to take my brother out this weekend and would like to make sure I have a good idea of what we are getting ourselves into. Thanks for your help!! Actually only fished one large run. Fished for a little over an hour and landed somewhere around 10. Water was really high and maybe 6-12 inches of visibility....if that! Fish are right up against the bank because they won't fight that strong current. Try anything flashy or bright. Like a San Juan, something with a bead, or a flashback. Make sure you have enough weight to get down. I'd give you locations but that would be cheating being that I grew up on that river haha. If you fish the blacksmith fork it would be cool to know if the salmonfly or golden stone hatch has started yet. [signature] |
