Fished Footesite today - lonehunter - 04-17-2016
Left at 4 am , fished until noon .
0 for 1 on Steelhead , quite difficult getting through all the suckers showing up .
Did see one Walleye (C&R) and a lucky angler with his Buck Chromer for the morning .
Sure enjoyed the weather though , felt nice , just too sunny for the spawning steelies .
5 years ago today we were in the middle of a snowstorm fishing .

So you caught a Walleye? How big was it? Too bad the SH were not as willing but least you had one on.

Couldn't get a pic of the walleye , usually I just grab the hook with pliers and remove the hook without the fish ever leaving the water.
It's a little more complicated with a Northern Pike though , they kinda like that "Eye for an eye" thing when their blood gets spilled , lol !
