Makin a trip to Phoenix!! - BamBam75 - 11-07-2015
Hey all! Gonna be taking a trip to Phoenix at the end of the month. Spending a couple nights near the children's hospital and wanted to do some fishing. I'm gonna be taking 4wt and 6wt and my girl is gonna be taking her ultralight spin cast so we are looking for a place to accommodate the both of us. We're normally fishing for trout in northern New Mexico but we'd be willing to try for carp,bass and sunfish. Anyplace within a 45 min drive?

One of my favorite places out there is Saguaro Lake. There is plenty of nice fishing at the Butcher Jones reacreation site. A generous area is sectioned out for float tubers and shore anglers.

They stock trout in there during the colder seasons. Other than that there are holdover Trout, LMB, Smallies, Yellow Bass, Crappie, Channel cats, Walleye and Sunfish. [cool]
