Walk-In Cooler Option - Lundman - 10-12-2015

Well the heat has been tough on the game taken the past two seasons - we had to pay to have the elk hung after we shot them until we cut & wrapped them.

I have insulted my 10x14 tuff shed with R19 and 3" foam board.

Well today I ran across this little option that might make my walk-in cooler a reality

What'ca think ? I can purchase a 12,500 BTU GE A/C unit for $329

10'x14' Walk-In Cooler for $650

That looks like an awesome idea. If I didn't have a neighbor with a walk-in, I would seriously consider doing like you. Buy a Tuff-shed, insulate the heck out of it, then install a large air conditioner with this Cool-Bot gadget. Looks like a perfect solution, especially when you won't be using it throughout the year. (I'd be using mine for hunts and hanging game). So, maybe about two weeks to a month maximum, per year.

Yup - the two week a year would be my time span too -- so the electric bill wouldn't be any concern - I would just have to get some nice 'S' hooks for hanging meat and beef up the roof support to take the extra weight. Definitely Worth Considering!!
