Flashers for Tubes - BassDuder - 04-04-2014 Are any of you guys using a Ice Fishing Flasher on you soft water tubing adventures? If so how. I'm planning on using my Lowrance Elite 4x Ice Machine on my toon in a couple weeks, it uses a flasher transducer. I'm going to mount it like kanderson, on a piece of trex with an adjustable PVC arm to hold the 'ducer. I'm thinking my ice ducer should mate nicely inside an inch and a half PVC fitting. Okay to see your jigs right below you and all that but very little of my fishing is exactly straight down. Most is cast and retrieve or bottom bouncing while moving. If you do mount the Showdown...or any other ice flasher...you will have to rig the 'ducer to a length of half inch PVC...with a foam noodle float on the end to hold the 'ducer out away from your tube. Otherwise you get fins in the beam. [/#0000FF] [signature] |
