Anglers were still able to gain access to open water near the dock and dam. A few rainbow trout that averaged 12 inches were taken with PowerBait and night crawlers.[/#000000] ECHO CANYON RESERVOIR[#000000] [/#000000] [#000000]Ben Johnson from Nevada State Parks said that fishing pressure continued to be low. A few stocked rainbow trout that measured 11 to 12 inches were taken with PowerBait. The reservoir is still two-thirds covered with ice so access is limited. The daytime temperatures were in the low 50s while the nights were dropping in the high teens. [/#000000] [/size] [size 3]WAYNE E. KIRCH WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA [/size] [size 3]Daniel Maes, Installation Technician, said that all reservoirs are about 80 percent iced-over. He noted that the ice conditions could change rapidly with an expected cold front that is scheduled to come through the area. The ice is not yet safe for ice fishing.[/size] [size 3]A few shore anglers fishing Cold Springs Reservoir were creeled but they had very limited success.
