My Motivation, My Cause - BMURR - 06-16-2012
Hello fellow BFTer's. I wanted to share something with you that is dear to my heart. 4 years ago my first son was born. We later found out he has Down syndrome. He has been such an incredible blessing in my life. He loves fishing, especially throwing the fish back in the water.
I recently decided to race a full Ironman to raise awareness for Down syndrome, especially Orphans with Down syndrome. Nash and I also made a 90 second video and entered it into a contest with Ironman. Winners get to race in the Ironman World Championship, but most importantly, we would get to tell the story of these orphans on a national NBC Ironman broadcast. This could be huge for these kids!
We have been in the contest for 2 months. Of 105 videos, we are ranked #3 in votes. We need to be in the top 2. Voting ends on Monday, only 3 days away!
