A little help with this Pike size please! - anacondatmz - 05-09-2012 I was fishing outside of Algonquin Park this past weekend on lake known for it's trout / bass fishing. Needless to say, I was a little surprised when I pulled this guy out of the water. [inline Big_Pike.jpg] I ended up catching this guy on 6lb test , leaderless with a #1 gold Northland spinner (I was geared up for brook trout!). Biggest fish I've ever caught! [cool] I figure it to be about 36 inches, perhaps a little more given my hand is about 4.5 inches across. Weight wise, I figure 10lb, buddies have suggested closer to 7-8lb, where as alot of charts I've seen online state that pike around 36 inches tend to come in between 13-15lb. So my question is... How big do you think it is? [signature] Re: [anacondatmz] A little help with this Pike size please! - theangler - 05-10-2012 Not real sure on the weight but GREAT LOOKING FISH! Love the pic and the video in thread! [signature] |
