Dropshot, Nickajack (Sullivans), Bass, 8/17/11, Solo - FishNews - 08-19-2011
I decided to go down and fish out of Sullivans late yesterday afternoon. Never been out of Sullivans with my boat/trailer so I have been hesitant to check it out. Put in with no problems and headed upriver to a few spots I wanted to check out. Surprised by the mats on the river. To make a long story short, I was able to catch 8 total fish, 2 on a swimbait and 6 on a topwater, before somehow losing my trolling motor prop cutting through some grass. It was a beautiful day on the lake without alot of boat traffic. Swimbait fish caught in 10-12 feet of water, while topwater fish were caught in 2-5 feet of water.
