UL Flows - FishKillr - 03-10-2011 Hey, I am looking to take the boat out this Sat for its first voyage of the year and was wondering if anyone could tell me about the flows on UL right now as I have not been for a while. Is the Provo flowing good? I really like the AF area, but it was not flowing good at all for quite a while last year due to construction and other things. I am wondering if it is flowing again and has the volume that it had a while back? Thanks N Happy Fishing, Hope to see some of you out there, say hi if ya see me...I 'll do the same. At American fork, when I iced fished it two weeks ago the flow was very low, more than the usual trickle but only about an inch or two of water covering the riverbed. Checked a few days ago and the flow was about the same. Ever since the construction of the dam at the mouth of AF canyon, the flows have been for most years, dry to a trickle with a very short runoff sometime in May if there is an overabundant snowpack. This year it may indeed run for a couple weeks maybe three during white bass season since we have 139 percent snowpack which should overwhelm that reservoir. They are preparing for the run-off to begin... Deer Creek is FULL and Jordanelle is not going to hold all the water coming down the Provo -- so the water will be rising. It will be interesting to see where the high water mark will be exceeded this spring.. [signature] Re: [Fin-S-Fish] UL Flows - FishKillr - 03-10-2011 Thanks for the responses. That little flow @ AF used to be my favorite spot, but it sounds like it is that same as when I left it over a year ago. It was great and used to make a path of crystal clear water really far out into the lake. It was fun to fish, hope it returns soon.
