Took my two oldest nieces out this morning looking for some schoolers and couldn't find any really jumping or showing themselves so we hit a community hole along with another allison out for a little fun fishing. They had caught several white bass and invited us to come beside them so the girls could catch a few fish. We had fished for 10 minutes or so when the youngest of the two hollars I got one Aunt Kathy and he heavy. Much to our surprise it turns out to be a 20" long sauger. They continued to fish catching spots, largemouth, and stripe. That lasted all of about 45 minutes then they wanted to go on a boat ride. We stopped at a couple of docks quickly to try and pick up a crappie or two to go along with the sauger and managed just that very few. We rode awhile and got off the water around 1130. All and all it was a girls day out that was alot of fun.
