best place for Trout ? - SpecialOPS - 05-30-2010
Hello everyone,
I been to NJ several times these past 2 months and every time I had bad luck with trout fishing, I think its the locations more then anything. I went to one lake which was mostly private property so it was extremely hard to fish anywhere, and one river which I think was not stock fish but rather just natural fish that breeds there so its extremely hard to catch, most only go on worms and they are not too big.
I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good location not to far from New York City with some stocked trout? Would be extremely helpful and I would appreciate it.

A good place is the Paulinskill river near newton or the rockaway river in Rockaway
nite crawlers are my bait of choice for trout but you can also try meal worms or berkley dough baits
