Boycott NIKON Optics - Wyobraz - 11-26-2009
There is a predator derby being held in Idaho this weekend that is being held by the Idaho chapter of Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife.
This is the 5th annual event of this derby, and NIKON has been a reliable sponsor of this event. That is until this year. This derby has gained some national exposure by the Anti hunting crowd and they put pressure on NIKON to pull it's sponsorship and they caved.
Almost every rifle scope I have is a NIKON, but that will change. I will be writing NIKON to inform them that hunters who use their products will not stand for them caving to special interests that do not represent us.

The only Nikon item that I have is my spotting scope. Thats a bunch of Wolf crap..

This sucks, but since Nikon is a business, it doesn't surprise me. I bet they make a lot more money from photographers than they do from hunters, so they'll never bend to the will of a minority 'customer segment'.
All those tree-huggers and peta folks probably buy tons of digital slrs and lenses.
