Polish Trout - davetclown - 05-26-2003

Polish Trout - indiginous but not native to most US and some Canadian bodies of fresh water.

It is a bottom feeder but will grab a spinner or fly and will even swim up to grab a minnow or worm from under a bobber.

the actual name for this fish is "Carp" more comonly known as a gold fish. (yes it is the same animal as in your aquarium)

The largest hook and line carp caught to date was taken in germany and weighed in at a womping 78 pounds.

The carp is refered to as being a Polish Trout when it cought during the first few weeks of the opening of Trout season.

Hi davetclown,

Thanks for all the good terms. I've got about 2,500 terms listed myself with draft level descriptions and will intergrate contrabutions as time permits.

Again, thanks
