Rabbit River-84th street dam Caledonia - Jaackrabbit - 04-24-2008
Fished the Rabbit river at the 84th street dam in Caledonia with a variety of baits and lures for 3 hours tonight with the following results.
2- 11 inch crappies (YUM) [
] -sm jig with wht twister tails 1- 22 inch northern pike- lrg jig with GULP minnow (sorry no picture that thing was beyond slimmy and was thrashing around like crazy) 1- 10 inch lrg mouth bass- homemade fly
1- 16 inch sucker- foul hooked by rapala (man did that thing put up a HUGE fight)
Casulties- One diving rapala (it was a new lure- very first cast) $5.95 poof gone [mad] 2 jig heads lost and 3 mosquitoe bites .
There were 4 other people fishing. One guy was targeting the suckers and did was doing good. I saw him pull in 5 while I was there. I saw one other bass caught and released.
