Salt Water Fishing - ajensen83 - 02-25-2008 Hey Guys, I posted this on some other sites but there are some really smart people here that may be able to help me... Last Fall I went to Boston and fly fished for striped bass in the ocean for the first time... I WAS HOOKED, it was awesome. So this last christmas my wife got me a 9 weight Sage rod with a matching Lamson reel... In April I am going to Aruba on vacation and I am planning on taking my fishing stuff and trying for bonefish and other saltwater species... I am looking for suggestions on a fly line or lines, types of leaders including weights and a good selection of flies.since they have no fly fishing shops in Aruba.. and any other suggestions you guys have for going salt water fishing would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks AJ [signature] Re: [ajensen83] Salt Water Fishing - Xmlfish - 02-25-2008 If i were you I would go get some Salt Water line Cabelas has some but i would get the rio though it is more money but i wouldnt go cheap. Rio also makes great tippets for saltwater. As for flies I would take a alot of different Clousers and deceivers. [signature] |
