Salmon Falls, Magic - MACMAN - 02-11-2008
I'm from Utah and up in Twin working, so I thought I'd borrow a little time on a couple of your local ponds. Here's a quick report:
Sunday 2/10- hit SF at about 10:00, it started slow and we made three major moves before finding some willing trout in 24 feet of water. The trout gave up on us so we moved out to 50', I started catching 7-10" perch, we only hung there for about an hour or so and ended up with a dozen and a bonus walleye. The total for the day was 2 trout 16" and 18" on ice fly and crawler. 12 perch and 1 walleye on small firetiger blade tipped with crawler. We were south of the ramp just above the dam.
Magic- this report is two weeks late sorry. We fished across from the west resort in 8 feet of water. First drop 5# bow, next 50 drops 3 to 9 inch perch. The three of us caught a total of 4 rainbows and at least 100 perch. We were there only 3 hours and the weather was brutal the entire time. I left my camera back home in Salt Lake so no pics, next time.
