eastern sierra opener - fishtacomag - 04-11-2003 the trout opener in the eastern sierras is only 2 weeks away and I am stoked. It has been a 20 plus year tradition for me and some of my buddys. Anybody else making it up there? I will write a story about my trip and put it on the web site. If you are fishing Crowley I have a "killer Fly" you can troll. If you are near we will be in a 20 foot red and black Lund with a small cutty cabin. We are renting a boat slip for those days. PS. good information is that the browns are 6 to 7 colors deep. I am going up Thursday thru Sunday. Will fish the opener on Gull Lake. I might fish a little with Marlon on Friday at Georges-who knows. I know for sure I won't fish with that nut on the opener. 12:01 is too early and cold for me. Is Jed going with you? good luck, shawn [signature] |
