california next weekend 14th - lov2fish - 12-04-2007 ill be in california next weekend for three days. Near LAX is there a place i can fish for a few Hrs with out having to drive more than an 1 Hr. How about salt water fishing i hear you don't need a fishing license to fish from a pier and what would be a good sport if i'm looking just to have some fun. Or any good places i should check out. A little farther north of Venice (3 miles) is Santa Monica Pier. They are open for fishing 24 hours. 3 miles south of Venice Pier is Manhattan Pier. It is open from sunrise to sunset.[cool] [signature] Re: [tubeN2] california next weekend 14th - lov2fish - 12-05-2007 [] thanks that some good info and where would be the nearest place to get the license for 2-3 days. Within an hour of LAX barring megatraffic are Irvine lake, Santa Ana River Lakes, and Laguna Nigel Lake. All have websites. None of these require a license but there is a 20 dollar fee to pay for the insane amount of fish they stock. All have rental boats or you can tube them. Good luck! They are also predators so react well to lures as well as bait. There are bonus Largemouth as well as Catfish that think they are bass and will make you think you've tied into a submarine. It sits in a park with cute joggers smiling as they bounce by.[] [signature] |
