Palisades Dam - windriver - 11-05-2007
I fished the river at the dam on Friday night from about 9PM until 2 in the morning. We were trying to get in on the brown trout, but only one brown was caught by our group. I caught four 16-10" cutts and a 16"bow. The success rate was about the same for the other three guys that I was with. So that equals about one fish an hour. Not exactly hot fishing but it was fun to get out. The rig that was working the best was a tear drop lead attached to a swivel with two streamer flies above the weight. I also caught fish on a white 3" tube jig tipped with worm. This place is no secret and there were plenty of other people, but the night fishing experience is unique and fun to do a couple of times a year.
