Rifke pike - mackaddict - 10-29-2007 The last several years the pike have taken over rifle gap. The walleye fishing has gone straight in the dumps. So today I thought if you can’t beat them join em. I packed up the pike gear and off to the lake I went[cool]. At the first parking area I saw a sign saying this is the only body of water on the western slope managed for walleye and the pike and perch are having a negative impact on the Juvenal walleye. I thought no sh—they are catching on[]. Then the sign goes on to say please keep all perch and pike you catch. I thought ok if I catch one I’ll keep it[angelic]. So off to the boat ramp we go. Put the boat in the water and started looking for walleye, none to be found. I told my bro lets go see if we can catch a pike. Long story short we ended up with 30 pike from three to ten pounds and I’m really tired of cleaning pike[pirate]. Oh yea they where caught on husky jerks and x raps on the east end of the lake. Go get them I hope it helps the walleye but it might be to little to late.[unsure] [signature] Re: [mackaddict] Rifke pike - DonInDenver - 10-29-2007 Wow!!
