Melt snow,,,,MELT! - chefwhofishes - 03-11-2003 Has anyone fished Big Elk or Little Elk lake up in the Uintas? If so, what time of year does the snow melt enough to make that area accessible? You must be looking at meters instead of feet. Those lakes are in the 9000+ foot range. When it is finally gone, then you can usually get to the higher lakes in the Uintahs. Usually around the end of may, first part of june is when you can count on ice off. [signature] |
