Stupid boat questions - KoldFeet - 04-05-2007 My brother in law gave me a 12' jon boat. I bought a 38# electric motor & battery for it. It gets my son and I around on our comunity pond ok, but I am wondering if I need to get it licenced to take it elsewhere in the state? If so do I do this at the dmv? What am I required to take on the water in this small boat besides pfd's & oars? I may be pushing my luck with all the dumb Q's but I'd also like to hear some of your favorite spots to take a small craft.[] Thanks! That simple! I like small places like Causey and Lost Creek. Even places like Trial Lake and Smith and Moore House are fun with a small boat or pontoon. Wouldn't want to get a ticket in my own backyard![shocked] Guess it's row row row your boat for now![] [signature] Re: [lunkerhunter2] Stupid boat questions - fuzzyfisher - 04-05-2007 well your allmost right! i does mater where you are! privet pond's and lakes are still ok with out!! and there are a lot more around than one might think.. [signature] Re: [KoldFeet] Stupid boat questions - Kent - 04-05-2007 Kevin, there are lots of reservoirs up Fairview canyon that would be great to fish with a smaller vessel: Huntington Reservoir (you are familiar with that place) Fairview Reservoir (can't use the electric trolling motor) Electric Lake Millers Flat Cleveland Reservoir And several others.
