It is the time of year where my fishing poles go into hibernation. I turn into a hunting fool. I still read the fishing stuff, but i need to hear about some hunting too.
I will start off by saying i shot(along with a friend) a snow goose, a giant canadian, and 14 ducks from the Bear River Bird Refuge last wednesday. Bluebird skies, no wind, and we were in the g-spot. All the birds we couldn't find prior were right in front of us and landing in our spread.
On the 16th, i have a doe tag for East canyon. My 3 1/2 year old son is going to accompany me on this hunt as it is "his" deer. I can't wait till he is mature enough to handle a firearm by himself. Here in utah, they lifted the age minimum for small game hunting. I will have him hunting with me by the time he is 6.[cool]
