Caldwell Pond - Lake Lowell - rbflds - 09-15-2006
Hit Caldwell Rotary Ponds about 7am. Fishing w/ buzzbait & spinners for about an hour. It was about 43 dgrees and there was lots of steam on the water but no fish. Never got a bite, never saw so much as a swirl in the water. I have never fished this pond before so maybe that is normal. Does any one know if there are bass to be had in there???? Or should I not waste my time, LOL.
Went on to Lake Lowell (Gott's Point) at about 8:15. Same thing, lots of steam, no sign of fish. Fished for about 40 minutes before landing a nice fat 13" LM bass on a rubber worm. I let her go to fight another day. Got a couple more strikes over the next hour but never sunk the hook. Went on to work after that. I think this cold front may be keeping them down.

I've caught LMB out of the Caldwell ponds but that was over 10 years ago. That was the only time I fished them.
