I have two feathers from an albino. They are not quite as thick/bushy as the regular colored herl. I can probably get a few more feathers next molt. I incubated and hatched the bird a few years ago, but no longer have it. I'll keep my eye on his feathers a little more closely this year.

[cool][#0000ff]I was wondering about the fly tying properties of the albino feathers. If the herls are rugged enough, they would make some good white bodies. I have quite a few patterns that use the white bodies but I often use synthetics.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Hard to replace REAL peacock in patterns that incorporate it. Something about the sheen than is hard to duplicate or improve with anything else.[/#0000ff]
