Island Park Res. - Dr._Love - 01-18-2006 The family is headed to Island Park for a week long snow mobile vacation. I am debating about taking the ice fishing gear and trying Island Park Reservoir. Would anyone like to share a recent report? [signature] Re: [Dr._Love] Island Park Res. - windriver - 01-18-2006 I haven't heard much recent information on Island Park. If you have Snowmobiles I would get away from the dam where everybody fishes and go to the "fingers." The fishing is generaly slow but the fish that you do catch are really nice. All the fish that I have caught at Island park this year were over 18" but they were few and far between. The bigger fish are keying in on minnow type jigs or lures. I would find out if Wade Lake is frozen just across the border in Montana. It is about an 8 mile ride in and the icefishing is always fantastic when it freezes. (usually around the first of February). Good Luck Windriver [signature] |
