Lure of the week review - gdn443 - 12-13-2005
This week features the Charlie swim bait. There are sponsers on BFT that sell this product. This lure truly swims like a real minnow.I've had this lure in my box for two years now and have caught bass,pike,pickerel and a trout or two. Even got a fluke on it while useing it for bluefish. Blues do seem to rip it apart after a couple but Cabelas did send me a new one. If you enjoy fishing a Rapala now and then, pick up a Charlie bait.[

I have a couple in my box as well, I have only caught bass and a gar pike, I was suprized that it held up to the pike's sharp teeth.
I am hoping one day to get it down to the walleye one day, they are not designed to go down that deap, but with a hand made down rigger I think it is doable...
I agree it dose look like a real fish swimming.. I have even fooled a couple other anglers who thought I was pulling in small shad....[sly]

Interesting idea DaveT, I've got some planers that would hook right up to those bad boys. Something else to try next season.
