State Record Smallie? - ssabshif - 02-27-2005 I know this post is more than a little late.I finally got around to scaning to a disk. Last April while fishing for Tigers at Horseshoe Lake I caught this smallmouth. Not being from Colorado I did not know this was a potential state record. I returned her to the lake without getting all the details. The fish was 22.5 inches long and my guess is around 6.5+ lbs. I will never know for sure. Thought I would post the pic for you all out in Colorado. Re: [ssabshif] State Record Smallie? - DonInDenver - 02-27-2005 That's a really nice fish! Fat, too. Yes, given its girth it might have been a new record. The current "kept" record was 5 lb. 12 oz. and 21" long. With your fish's length and obvious girth it might have been quite a bit heavier.
