[font "Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"][#000000][size 2]Officials say the use of barbed hooks and a season extension for the Smith River from the river mouth to the forks could be adopted by the California Fish and Game Commission (FGC) during its October 21-22 meeting. An earlier adoption in June by the FGC failed to become law because it wasn't given enough time for public notice and comment. [/size][/#000000][/font]
