well today i went in a vain attempt to see if i could find the to half of the fly rod , it is still missing and presumed destined to be headed for niagra falls .
now lemmy tell ya' something . i have never hauled a perch out of this area at all in , what , seven years i've been fishing it . there's a ton of the keepers in there . i saw more pearch than gills while looking for the missing part . it's time to haul the minnow bucket down .
there were three other anglers there today , two guys were drifting rubber leaf worms for crappie , the third guy was drifting any natural bait he could scrounge up from the shore line .
none were doing much good . i gave them a few pointers on what was working where and left it at that .
