kickapoo kickers? float tube fins - Cowmilker - 07-01-2004 I used my float tube today and although I have some good fins, I was wondering if there is anything on the market anymore that would let you kick forward instead of backwards. I bought some fins at Allied in Murray before they burned/went out of business, that were called kickapoo kickers (I think), they would let you walk forward, instead of push back. Does anyone know where I could get some of these, or something similar? They are still sold by the Fishmaster company out of Oklahoma, but they are only good for fishing from a round tube in a small pond. If you wanna get anywhere you will get a hernia trying to get any speed or distance. [/blue] [#0000ff]Here's a pic of a pair I got to try many years ago. I didn't even use them. Conned a buddy into trying them. I swam circles around him and all he got was a severe case of "crotch cramps" from leaning forward against the crotch strap of his tube.[/#0000ff] [#0000ff]PS...if you are a real masochist, shoot me a PM and we can work out the details of a transfer to your garage instead of mine (CHEAP).[/#0000ff] [signature] Re: [TubeDude] kickapoo kickers? float tube fins - Cowmilker - 07-03-2004 The ones I had in mind were hinged at the toe and the flap was under your feet. Thanks anyway but I don't want those ones. [signature] |
