I hate to lose expensive fishing equipment - Kent - 06-11-2004

Thanks to the winds at the Gorge, I lost overboard a dock pole (value $30), Off-shore planer board (value $25), a baseball cap (value $.25), and broke about a foot off the tip of one of my fishing rods (value $35). I didn't care whether or not I found the rod tip, because it would have been useless; however, guess which of the other items I found? If you guessed the green (same color as the water and floating in the middle of the reservoir) baseball cap -- about an hour after I lost it, and while I was searching for the planer board, you guessed right! I guess this falls under Murphy's law, when one can find a green baseball cap that is floating six inches under water, but can't find a bright yellow and red planer board, or a silver dock rod that are floating on top of the water.

That sucks, [Sad]I have lost a net and a couple of poles before overboard.[unsure] I just consider it donated to the fishing gods!!! With all the fishing stuff you have and all the stuff I have seen on your boat. You might just have a couple more of what you were missing [sly]

So when do we get a gorge report???

Yep, I had spares for everything lost, and I was fortunate to purchase the last ones in stock, at the army and navy store, in Willard to replace the lost items.
