Scout Camp Help! - Hoobie - 04-30-2004 My scout group is planning a scout camp around the second week in june the leader said that he'd prefer the place we go is no more than 7,500 feet in elevation (he thinks it'll be cold higher up[crazy])so does anybody know of a good place to go, preferably with some fishing near by, here's the hard part he has some kind of obsession with pine trees so it has to be 7,500 feet or below in elevation and there has to be pine trees around (is it possible?) I was thinking maybe around Joes Valley Res. is there pine trees up there? the elevation looks close enough that maybe I could talk him into it. Any info will be apprieciated[] [signature] Re: [Hoobie] Scout Camp Help! - polokid - 04-30-2004 Smith & Moorehouse is right around 7500 feet in elevation, has fishing and has pine trees. Here is a weather site i like. It also gives the elevations for all the station locations!!! Just click on the red "X" to pull up each location. Thanks! [signature] Re: [Hoobie] Scout Camp Help! - mateo - 04-30-2004 I think there's a tree farm in Layton, which is only about 4300 feet. They have pine trees. You can fish at either clearfield or kaysville ponds. At night you can check out the wildlife at 7-11. Sounds like your scout leader has some issues. [signature] Re: [Hoobie] Scout Camp Help! - UTBASS - 05-01-2004 That's easy ... Hobble Creek Canyon [Springville] ... Jolley's Ranch. A nice creek runs through there and plenty of camping and fun!
