From San Luis Obispo, on Hwy 101; go N 16 mi. to Atascadero. Turn W on Hwy 41, go 1 mi. to lake.
In rural town park, residential area nearby. Small sailboats OK. Picnic sites, swimming, small zoo, baseball field.
Local fishing: Rainbows stocked every other week winter and spring. Largemouth bass, catfish, bluegill.
