It may not stop a shark from biting you but for cuts & abrasions it limits the damage you can receive. While wearing these non-slip gloves i've never dropped a struggling slimy fish. Ever. For us outdoor recreational sportsmen it's an important part of our personal gear. Not only anglers but hunters as well.
